u.s mink liberation. 40 mink run free.

Saturday, April 26th, 2008

anonymous communique:

“04-21-08

We, the masked avengers of the Animal Liberation Front released around 40 Blue Iris mink from the breeding stock at Jefferson Fur Farm, 1477 SE Talbot Road, Jefferson, OR. Breeding records containing genetic history were also permanently destroyed. It will be a hard road ahead for these mink and their offspring, but with our help they now have a chance at survival. These animals are not capitalist commodities to be bought and sold for fashion or vanity, but unique individuals deserving of liberation from human exploitation. Even if some of the mink do not make it we feel it is better to die free, then at the hands of their speciesist captors.

To the Posches, owners of Jefferson Fur Farm: Consider this your first warning. Tear down this death camp and let the mink live free. If you don’t we will be back to finish the job.

To others concerned with the well-being of fellow living beings. First and foremost, go vegan. If you’ve been vegan for a while, it’s time to start looking up animal abusers in your area and doing the research for how to effectively cripple them. Work in small affinity groups, be cautious always– macho never, and never give information if captured. It’s time for animal rights to move beyond consumer sub-culture, towards an active liberation movement, which threatens the capitalist commoditization of life and the speciesist ideology itself.

We want to make it very clear that we will not be intimidated by the states continued witch hunt against the earth and animal liberation movements. Draconian prison sentences and repressive legislation will not deter us from our goal of total earth, animal, and human liberation. For every liberator you throw in prison, there will two more to take her place. For every activist’s house you raid, there will ten times that many cages emptied. You can take our freedom, but you will never extinguish the flame that burns in our heart. Let your passion mirror the animals oppression and our persecution.

everyday is earth day

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

its really weird when people, let alone, vegans make a big deal about earth day.

why are we not treating everyday as earth day? why are we not protecting and celebrating our earth everyday?

dont celebrate the earth once a year. earthday is a bullshit corporate holiday.

Earth First!

activists! do you know your rights?

this morning we started our drive from san diego to Tucson, Az. we were in san diego county near the mexican border in the city of Alpine, Ca. We were pulled over by three different cop cars. one normal cop car and two s.u.v trucks. they approached the passenger window and asked for my drivers license and registration, i told them i was going to reach behind me to get it out of my bag, i got it and handed it to him ( as the driver, i have to give it to them ). then the cop asked for my friends name and i.d. it is my friends right to not give their name or i.d, so they didnt. the cops asked a few more times for the i.d. they then told us that we matched the description from a recent bank robbery (bullshit.

this is now making us suspects and also making it a tricky situation to exercise your rights ). my friend said ok, and went to reach for his bag to get his i.d. all 3 of the cops pulled their guns on us and started to scream at us to get out of the car. they took my friend out of the car and then pulled me out as well. we were searched and then sat on the street. we were still exercising our rights even when we were heavily questioned.

we remained silent and and only told them what they know from looking at my i.d. they asked if they could search the car, i told them that i did not consent. they took out my friends bag out of the car anyway even when we told them repeatedly that they didnt have the right to do so. the cops were letting us know that they almost and could have easily shot us and it wouldnt have been a big deal. they were the ones who were going to be going home that night to eat dinner, and we wouldnt have.

one of the cops told us that we better do what we ask him to do because we were in the middle of nowhere and ‘anything’ can happen. while not giving them consent to search the car and while also remaining silent the cops were giving us a lot of shit for knowing our rights and standing our ground. we were told do obey them and do what they say and then we can deal with the rest of the shit in court. we still remained silent and i still didnt give them consent to search my car. the whole thing lasted about an hour.

it would have turned out  A LOT worse if we didn’t know our rights. even though it did escalate really fast, it could have been very bad. we made it out without getting hit, shot or arrested. it is VERY important to stand up for yourself. please look into www.flexyourrights.org

another tour update.

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008
a few shows and days have passed since i have last updated. what have we been up to?
corona
the showcase shows were both sold out and both were insane. filled with punks and a lot of vegan outreach. a lot of literature went out, way more then i had thought. the first night we slept in a park that we were told is the home of a crackhead known as the vampire. i guess he goes around biting people. we didnt see him. after the 2nd show we started our drive to las vegas for the next show. we drive 150 miles or so until i wanted to sleep, so we puled over at a rest stop for the night
las vegas
once we got to vegas our first stop was Ronalds Donuts to get some vegan donuts. we filled our bellies, maybe a little too full, then hung around the venue walking through casino’s and trying to kill time. the show was weird. weird venue. weird vibe at the show, the show was 18 and up, stupid barricade in front of the stage and all. the first 2 bands were horrible locals from las vegas. the kind of band who finds it cool to use derogatory words between songs. ugh onward to los angeles!
los angeles
l.a is always for the most part good times. saw a few familiar faces, met a lot of new friends. got some free sandwiches from follow your heart restaurant. We also met an awesome womyn who brought us some vegan cookies! that made our night. the show was fucking good. their was a surprise set by the band naked aggression. the subhumans set has been different and really good each day. im really happy to be on this tour. the subhumans along with vT have opened up a lot of eyes of people who had no idea what goes on in the meat and dairy industries. i love it
see you tonight san diego.
taking it all back

Austria. 200 PIGS RELEASED FROM FACTORY FARM

Monday, April 14th, 2008

anonymous communique:

“Angry wild boars liberate their relatives

In the night to Monday, March 31st, a cell of the ALF called ‘angry wild boar’ liberated 200 genetically, degeneratively altered relatives (called domestic pigs) from a catastrophical factory farm between Brunn and Winzersdorf in the district of Wr. Neustadt, Lower Austria. The liberated pigs immediately started playing in the meadows surrounding the farm and ate grass, which they will be prohibited to do in the months ahead, sitting without anything to do in their dreadfully stinking shit. . . .

Around the farm are kilometres of open land and pasture; why is this way of keeping pigs not prohibited? Most people just remove the suffering from their consciousness and still buy and sell these products. But there are healthy and tasty plant based alternatives not only in specialist shops but in all supermarkets – from meat and different sausages to schnitzel, chili con soya or doener.

Even if those liberated pigs cannot enjoy their freedom for long – every hour counts; since in only a few weeks, they would be brutally kicked into lorries, transported over long distances and killed hanging on their hind legs on the slaughter line, when somebody cuts their throat while they are still fully conscious. They struggle for minutes. Humans with a brain and a heart do not eat animals – especially when they are so similar to themselves, that their organs are being misused by unscrupolous doctors for transplants.
